When practiced consistently, the results of Mindfulness are real and very far-reaching. In the largest sense, Mindfulness allows you to live in harmony with the realities of the world. It helps you to embrace life’s ever-changing impermanence, to live in peace with the inevitable ups and downs of being human, and to feel deeply connected to the whole of life.
Incorporating research based techniques developed at the University of Massachusetts by Jon Kabat-Zinn, and by renowned neuroscientists such as Dr. Richard Davidson and Dr. Dan Siegel, this Course is a dynamic exploration of our own reaction to stressful situations and of the researched-based path to well-being that Mindfulness uses to enhance our awareness of the present moment.
This Course will offer the participants the opportunity to explore the science behind their brains and their emotional states, and they will develop skills to expand the potential of their own brain function in order to work with thoughts and emotions, allowing the mind to become settled and centered Both Programs will provide you with: 1. Weekly assignments to internalize the practical applications learned in class
2. Weekly emails to refresh what was covered in class, and support the practice
3. Weekly follow up resources to practice and expand Mindfulness Tools
4. The benefit of small group settings so people can feel safe and supported
